Courier Delays

Sadly, I think we all knew this was coming. The knock on effect of so many people having to self isolate means courier companies don’t have the staff to either collect or deliver parcels in certain areas.

While the situation is changing daily, these are some general guidelines given to us by the courier companies to help you navigate these challenging times

  • Please allow an extra 3-4 days for any freight being delivered within Auckland, although we anticipate that these delays may increase next week.
  • As a result of re-allocating our fleet and depot resources, effective immediately, we will not be making any same day deliveries in Auckland.
  • Use the web based tracking tool to check the delivery status of your shipment, and please avoid calling the couriers to check a delivery unless it is significantly delayed.
  • Note that we are now using Contactless Pickup and Delivery procedures and applying ATL to all residential deliveries. ***

*** If you are not comfortable with your parcel being left without your signature, please provide an alternate (work or friend/family) address where your parcel can be delivered safely.

Network Status

NZ Couriers has a tool where you can check their current network status – please click the link to see the status for your area.

https://www.nzcouriers.co.nz/network-status/

PBT is currently working on a network status tool which is due to be released next week

At this stage PBT have informed us that they are not servicing (no pickups and no deliveries) these areas:

Run 21  – Remuera Area
Run 45 – Meadowbank, St Johns area
Run 74  – Karaka , Drury, Redhill Area
Run 61 – Papakura, Ardmore – Area
Run 40 – AKL CBD

If you are in any of these areas PBT will be unable to deliver your parcel until they can arrange relief drivers. Please select NZ Couriers.

We ask that you be patient and understanding during this difficult time. I know we’re all well and truly sick of life under COVID and can’t wait to return to better days.
